Wednesday Wonders:
Basically, my interests as of late have consisted of 4 things:
- flowy, pleated frocks
- maxi dresses (preferably with a tulip hemline)
- shoes of any sort
- colorful accessories
For reference, please see exhibit A above. In fact, it appears that I’ve created one subcategory by combining #’s 1 and 2 with that amazeballs green dress. Someone invite me to a fancy wedding so I have an excuse to buy that.
1- Ted Baker pleated dress // 2- Jennifer Zeuner Rayna eye lariat necklace // 3- pineapple earrings // 4- Nixon watch // 5- Target woven tote // 6- Madewell necklace // 7- Lanston dress // 8A- Sunnies // 8B- DvF lucite heel sandals (ON SALE!) // 9- Kate Spade bow bracelet // 10- twisted turban headband // 11- Ted Baker pleated maxi dress // 12- Rebecca Minkoff slide sandals // 13- Tinley Road tulip hem maxi dress // 14- C. Wonder tote (Goyard-esque shape, no?) // 15- Joie “Nice” flip flops (ON SALE! & currently en route to mi casa; size up in these) // 16- Eric Javits Fedora
& for all you deal-hunters, the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale starts today and Saks took some pretty nice discounts yesterday on their designer merchandise yesterday. Happy Shopping!
Wednesday Thursday Wonders:
In addition to my regular loose, boho tops and flowy dresses for spring, apparently I’ve also fallen hard for patterns and prints. And really- I’m quite alright with that. Hopefully some of these goodies (that maxi dress is TDF) would give my regular rotation of neutrals a little more depth.
1- Leifsdottir buttondown // 2- Toms Ikat wedges // 3- Saturday “sexy back” tee (available in 5 colors; I’d go with tangerine) // 4- tiny heart ring // 5- Anthro necklace (which looks mighty fine with #7) // 6- Love & Ice Cream tee // 7- Club Monaco dress // 8- Anthro maxi dress // 9- Joie shorts // 10- Peony scented candle // 11- polka dot espadrilles
Considering my adoration for all things bee themed, I’m sure these honeycomb dining chairs would be an acceptable purchase. Only- I’ve been banned from buying any more chairs much in the same manner that I’ve been banned from buying throw pillows.
drat.
a few “fresh cuts” (markdowns for you non-shopaholics) from Anthro that I fancy
hibiscus print shirt dress // striped cover-up // necklace // striped swing top // Karen Walker polka dot dress #1 // & #2 // belt // spacedyed wide leg pants
I’m also pretty nuts about the back of this triple bow dress [just for the record]

I’m loving this Cheap Monday racerback dress. Would be super cute as a cover-up or with a bandeau bra for a chic, laid back look. I’d personally throw on with a sweet lacy bra, fedora, and a great pair of strappy wedges.
oh, and I forgot to mention the best part! it’s only $30 (marked down @ Shopbop). go forth and purchase.

Wednesday Wonders
I’d elaborate a little with I‘d rather like to make room for all of these in my closet- but I’m fairly sure that goes without saying for each of my ww’s.
1- Joie booties // 2- River Island tie-die dress // 3- Asos stripe swing dress // 4- Adia Kibur necklace // 5- Kenneth Jay Lane necklace // 6- B Brian Atwood metalic snakeskin sandals // 7- Marc by Marc Jacobs watch // 8- Marysia Molokai swim suit // 9- Splendid blouse // 10- Giuseppe Zanotti studded sandals (you keep your Valentino Rock-Star pumps, gals. these bad boys are my pick!) // 11- Parker crossback tank // 12- IRO opened toe wedge bootie // 13- Tracy Reese dress // 14- Michael Kors Collection bag // 15- House of Harlow ring
You all have heard me drone on about Stitch Fix for- oh, four months now.
I won’t bore you with the exact details of everything again. Luckily I realized this month that setting up a tripod and working off a timer were not the best ideas for documenting my items so this month [thankfully] you get selfies again.
[I’m not sure if you’re welcome is appropriate here- but it’s my blog and I do what I want. so you’re welcome]
The goods:
1- Tart geo print maxi dress (also available here). I pulled this out of the box and cast it aside thinking “next”. But after trying on, I realized it’s a perfect curve hugging maxi that actually looks quite brilliant layered with a tank (see above), a slouchy grey boyfriend sweater, or worn alone. Plus I love the print and the fabric is super light-weight and soft. Keeper.
2- Long sleeve black and white top (contrasting with the front, the back was white with black stripes). I really, really loved this. But the $88 price tag and sweltering Southern summer in my very near future told me to reconsider before checking out. It looked darling with white shorts and wedges- but I couldn’t justify something that would (most likely) hang in my closet until late September. Did I mention that it’s the softest thing that I’ve ever felt? Because it was. So very soft. [Sadly] sending this one back.
3- Silk tunic (and for the record- yes, I am wearing shorts under this). Um I don’t think tunics- Tory Burch or otherwise- are my thing. The fabric and the print on this was simply beautiful but it really just wan’t my style at all. I couldn’t figure out how to create an outfit using this piece (even with the help of the style cards). I think there was just too much bulky fabric for my frame. And the nearly $160 price tag was a bit high for me to keep this as a swimsuit cover up. Back you go.
4- Denim and ikat print blouse. For reference, please see my face. The fit on this guy was awful [like a dress and a tunic got married but couldn’t agree on who would be the dominant spouse] though I love the ikat print. Had to go back.
5- A bracelet set I wasn’t fond enough to photograph. That’s all I have to say about that. [which is odd because I’ve LOVED the two pieces from my last 2 fixes]
Still love getting a monthly package on my front stoop. Still love trying to step out of my styling sphere and try new things (& brands). Still a loyal Stitch Fix client. Plus there were no see-through skirts in this month’s order so that was a bonus.
Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If not, you should. And here’s a [referral] link to get you started.

ps- for those that were interested, I’m also cleaning out a number of pieces from my own closet. click here to peruse.

This really cute, simple black Tart tank (also available in white) is currently 50% off. Being a student of the “you can never have enough good foundation pieces” discipline, I can hardly resist a sweet (horrible pun- I know) deal on such goodies.
and you want in on a secret? with code 30now you can take an extra 30% off the entire Tart site
Two great basic tanks scored for under $30. BAM!

Attention Canucks-
Your favorite above the border brand- Joe Fresh- is now available @ a JCP near you.
You’re welcome.
((thanks for setting me straight on my misuse of “eh”! oxo))monday outfit-spiration

This fresh combination of minty green and fluid stripes is calling my name.
